Mercedes-Benz New SUV could be a Mars Rover

I saw this article today and immediately thought that “Mercedes-Benz New SUV could be a Mars Rover”. It looks like the guys over at NASA are working with Mercedes-Benz to create this New SUV. This one, made for us humans here at home (Earth -if you did not know).

The concept car pictured here from the L.A. Auto show in 2012, will influence the design for the new SUV. IF green lighted, could be on the market in 2019.

Personally, I’m more of an Audi Q7 TDi kinda guy. However, this beast looks good enough to park in the garage. I don’t know if I could take the ribbing from my pale Neil after switching from the superior 4 rings to the Mercedes 3 pointed star though.

The iconic Mercedes-Benz G-Class could get a smaller sibling before the end of the decade, according to a recent report.

Tentatively named GLB, the crossover will slot between the GLA and the GLC in Mercedes’ ever-growing lineup of soft- and off-roaders. Visually, it will wear a brawny design that will borrow styling cues from both the aforementioned G-Class and the Ener-G-Force concept (pictured) that debuted during the 2012 edition of the Los Angeles Auto Show. The final design hasn’t been locked in yet, but the mini G is shaping up to be one of the most rugged-looking models in its class.

*Please note: Mercedes-Benz New SUV could be a Mars Rover is intended to influence your imagination. Mercedes-Benz is not working with NASA as far as I can tell :).
